Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Corporate social responsibility is a concept whereby companies decide voluntarily to contribute to a better society and a cleaner environment. Corporate social responsibility is represented by the contributions undertaken by companies to society through its business activities and its social investment.

Over the last years an increasing number of companies worldwide started promoting their Corporate Social Responsibility strategies because the customers, the public and the investors expect them to act sustainably as well as responsibly. In most cases CSR is a result of a variety of social, environmental and economic pressures.

Projects under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

The MDA has received funds from various reputed Companies under their CSR Policy for following projects in Mewat area and MDA has completed the projects within stipulated period:

RITES Ltd., Gurugram

  • Provided funds of Rs. 270.00 lakh for construction of Girls Hostel at Mewat Model School, Khanpur Ghati. The construction work has been made by the PWD (B&R), Nuh. The Hostel has been started.
  • Provided fund of Rs. 110.00 lakh provided for purchase of six numbers of School Buses (51 seater) for Mewat Model Schools.

Power grid Corporation of India Limited, Gurugram

  • Provided funds of Rs. 224.25 lakh for construction of Working Women Hostel at Nuh. The construction work has been allotted to PWD (B&R), Nuh and work is in progress.
  • Provided funds of Rs. 15.00 lakh for installation of Traffic Lights at Adbar Chowk (Nuh), Badkali Chowk (Nagina) and Bus Stand (F.P. Jhirka). The project has been completed by PWD (B&R).
